My new project requires me to consider the needs and impacts of regenerative design. The level of research for this project will be more thorough than others I have done previously as the historic value of the building is key to creating a design concept.

To begin my design process, I'll first approach the project by completing a detailed site analysis. This will allow me to have a complete understanding of the area I'm working with and allow my future design choices to be meaningful and relevant in regards to the buildings history.

A site visit allowed me to understand the atmosphere of the area that will ultimately add a deeper level of understanding to my analysis. Being able to closely study the original brickwork and beams that are still maintained within, will provide me with an insight into incorporating these existing features within my concepts and proposals.

Once I have completed my written site analysis and documented it, I will then be able to move forward to thinking more creatively- looking at sustainable design approaches that will work well for this space.
