This weeks development of my design work focused on collating intensive research of the site context as well as sustainable fashion brand Stella McCartney and documenting it as a group. As we worked as a group, bringing together all of our individual perspectives provided new outlooks, often ones we would not have thought of ourselves. Overall, this added a deeper level of understanding to the context that will build the foundations for our project.

As a group, we worked collaboratively to create a 1:50 scale model of our existing site, that we were able to translate by using a 1:100 scale drawing. This enabled us to not only visualise our site, but to also now make more relevant and considered design choices that are suitable for the space as we can use the model as a tool. By using the heliodon with our model, we will now be able to accurately see where the sun will enter the building and at what times. This tool is incredibly helpful as we will furthermore be able to use this insight to make informed decisions regarding furniture placements within the building.
Moving along in the process, we will gather information and research on relevant precedents. whether they will be focused more towards listed building renovations, exhibition spaces or related research on sustainable fashion, any relevant information will aid our understandings of the project we are working on.
